Everything's Not Lost Lyrics

When I’m counting up my demons.
There’s always one for everyday,
With the good ones on my shoulder,
I drove the other ones away.
If you ever feel neglected,
If you think all is lost,
I’ll be counting up my demons, yeah,
Hoping everything’s...

We'll we know Will Champion was sacked from the band around 1999. I could imagine this being Chris Martin's way of letting Will know he'd changed his mind.

I think this song is about how things aren't going very well for a person, but they know that it is not the end of the world and it will end up ok. They know that no matter how bad things get, they can always make it through because 'everything's not lost.' I think the person is trying to persuade someone that if people are against you and things are going badly, don't get down over it because it will be fine eventually.

Well, you know how in cartoons, when someone is trying to make a decision Απϑ an angel n demon poof above d shoulder? Well I think chris is trying to say he's getting rid of all the negativity around him, embracing the positive. So even if everything around him is crumbling to the floor Απϑ he's lying on his ◄, he'd embrace positive Απϑ tell himself everything is not lost....that's what I think tho

Ya Dude that was entertaining but total bullshit... I'm going through this thing with my ex girlfriend where we've realized both have feelings for each other... It was weird because this song was playing when we were talking about it
like everything's not lost of our love.

This song is related to a very trying time in Chris Martins life. He was on his way to a car boot sale in the grounds of Bletchley Hospital one particularly wet, windy May afternoon. Gwentyh was driving as Chris had sprained his left wrist in a rather unfortunate accident involving a multi-pack of Wotsits and a fold up bed.

Gwentyh had hoped to get to the sale fairly early as she was looking to purchase Kerplunk as a birthday present for Michelle McManus (fat Scottish bird that won Pop Idol). They had met at a charity auction raising money for penguins with learning difficulties (PLD).

Chris had suggested to Gwyn that the quickest route would be via the B4034 from Fenny Stratford before turning into Rickley Lane. Gwyn was happy to follow these instructions as not only is she a bird she is also from America and had no idea about the complexities of the Milton Keynes roundabout system. She was on the blob as well which didn’t help.

They reached the Hospital at about 9:45 and were ushered to a parking spot by an overweight 12 year old girl with pony tails and a hair lip.
In his haste to grab a bargin Chris opened the rear side drivers door without realising a travel version of connect 4 was lying against it. He and Gwyn decided to buy this on a day trip to Weston-super-Mare the previous August.
The entire contents of the box fell out of the door and all over the wet muddy playing field being used as a temporary car park.

Chris realised his mistake and jumped out of the car to pick up the pieces. He sensed Gwyns concern so shouted "don’t worry, everything is not lost".
