What's This Life For Lyrics
That makes it through
If there's any way
Because the answer lies in you
They're laid to rest
Before they've known just what to do
Their souls are lost
Because they could never find
What's this life for
I see your...

We live under the reign of one king! He refers to Jesus Christ! If anyone knows Scott of Creed then they should know that he is a Christian & all his music are based on Religious lyrics! So not one Thing but definitely One King! Lord Jesus Christ!

This song is about how some people don't know what to do with their life so they go and commite suicide before they get anywhere in life. Here I'll prove it.
"Hurray for a child that makes it through if there's any way because the answer lies in you they're laid to rest before they know just what to do the souls are lost because they could never find."
This means that a person that knows what to do with their life then congratulations to them, but there are still all those people that don't know so they ask themselves, "WHAT IS THIS LIFE FOR?" But some of them still never find out so they take their own life.
The chorus is just basicly a person asking what is this life for?
"I see your soul it's kind of grey. You see my heart you look away. You see my wrist i know your pain. I know your purpose on your plane. Don't say a last prayer because you could never find."
This means that for the people who do commit suicide it won't lead them to heaven. It will lead them to hell. When they are about to take their life they think they should pray, but there is a part of them that says no I'm going to hell anyway. So no use praying.
"But they ain't here anymore. Don't have to settle the score. Cause we all live under the reign of one king."
This means that people who don't know what to do with their life aren't here on earth anymore.
It is a good song one of my favorite from Creed.
