Creed: Faceless Man Meaning
Faceless Man Lyrics
It was quiet and the wind stood still
I spent some time with nature
To remind me of all that's real
It's funny how silence speaks sometimes when you're alone
And remember that you feel
I said it's funny how...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:The song is about 1 John 1-24 (Bible - New Testament).
The faceless man is the sin of the world (devil).
Scott talks about God reminding him to always do what's right
The song clearly describes God talking to him while he stands against the sin of the world (faceless man). -
MY interpretation is this: The writer is talking about 2 faces. One which is faceless and the other one he saw on the water. That faceless man is about his bad side. The face on the water is Jesus Christ. He wants Christ to come inside in him. He don't want to go to the other side( Hell). He wants to be with the Creator's home.

"Now I saw a face on the water
It looked humble but willing to fight
I saw the will of a warrior
His yoke is easy and his burden is light" , a well described face, full of description, anything but faceless :) -
The faceless man in my interpretation is the Holy Spirit.
He actually asks the Holy Spirit (The Faceless Man)
"To come inside, and never go away"
The face looked him right in the eyes and tild him to always do what's right. That's the Holy Spirit talking to him.
