This song is a build up from the album 9 where he had been having an affair on his wife. In this song it is about when she found out about the affair. He loves her and wants to be with her, but it is currently hell when she is around because she is so hurt and angry. He wants to let go of what happened, and work things out with her. Just it's too fresh and really hard for her
