Satellite Lyrics

Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How I wonder.
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping tom for the mother station
Winter’s cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything...

This song is about being hiiigh. "satellite in my eyes...". Satellites are very "high" in the sky if you ask me

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Something tells me this song has something to do with the media or television in general being everywhere. Or something like that. I don't know.

What about the line where it says satellite DISH? Sounds kinda dumb: sun will shine dish, eh?

I am not sure where "Satellite" came from, but it's actually from one of his original demos called "After Her". Instead of "Sat-E-lite" It says "sun will shine" You can see how it fits without any musical notation. Anyway, the chorus and bridge remained the same, the verses just changed. If you find the actual lyrics somewhere online you will have realization of "oh yeah, now I see how that chorus fits" 'Cause, we all know, you gotta be on something to mesh those two ideas together. A love song and a song about a TV viewing product, hmm?
