Never Let Me Down Lyrics
-
He wrote this for his personal assistant and best friend coco shwab. He met her right before he started the young Americans album and she has been with him up until he died. She saved his life by helping him stop doing drugs and was the reason behind the milk and peppers diet. Milk and peppers are good way to detox your body. So by making him eat peppers and drink milk he sweat out the cocaine he he did and thats why he never died from the huge amounts he snorted. Thus she saved his life. So in 1987 he wrote a song about her for her. He even said in an interview its about her. It’s his way of saying thank you and that he owed his life. Which is also why when he died a large part of his fortune went to her. His fortune was left to his family and her. And no despite what some people think they where never romantically involved.
