Ellie Goulding: Explosions Meaning
Explosions Lyrics
And I gave in
I lack the things you need the most, you said where have you been
You wasted all that sweetness to run and hide
I wonder why
I remind you of the days you poured your heart into
But you...

This song dies SO well in describing what relationships with narcissists can be.

Explosions by Ellie Goulding has recently become one of my favorite songs. I heard it a few months ago at a dance competition and I literally fell in love with it! Here I am a few months later relieazing it is describing an event that has occurred with a relationship in my life. I believe this song is about someone who is too immature to commit to a relationship and can be a gentleman at times but can't be at others. The chorus refers to walking up one day relieazing between those to people it will never be the same again. The 2 Verse shows how selfish one person was to leave the other and meant well but didn't Initally. The bridge part describes as one persons life begins to change they the other person last thing on there mind and they think their better ad the other person will be able to Love them another time. The chorus then describes it will never be the same between those two people.
