Elton John: The Last Song Meaning
Song Released: 1992
The Last Song Lyrics
As light as straw and brittle as a bird
Today I weigh less than a shadow on the wall
Just one more whisper of a voice unheard
Tomorrow leave the windows open
As fear grows please hold me in your arms
Won't...

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever Heard. I've sung the song several times myself to different audiences.
It always brings tears to listeners. Thanks to Elton John and Ryan White that HIV and Aids is no longer a death sentence.
There is a long list of artists that have contributed to the treatment of AIDs. God bless all of them. -
This song is a personal story relating to the father/son dynamic of homosexuality, HIV and acceptance; a great example of unconditional love.
