Evanescence: Forever Gone, Forever You Meaning
Forever Gone, Forever You Lyrics
For so long I don't even know why now
But now that I've given up on you
Defiantly you see me
Walking away I see the pain
You put me through
Lost in your game to change the same
Forever gone, forever...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think tis song is about how whoever she was with, put her through a lot, and now that it's over, she finally sees what he's been doing to her, and doesn't regret leaving him. But he, on the other hand, wants her back only because maybe he doesn't want her leaving with bad thoughts about him, he wants her to leave with good thoughts, thoughts that aren't full of hate, and that's the only reason he wants her back. But she's not going back to him. She has no regrets after finally seeing how badly he treated her.

I'm probably wrong but I think it's about someone who acted better than they were. So the singer, might be Amy Lee, loved them, and then in the end the singer stops loving them and sees all the lies she's been told, and feels all the pain she's been put through to stay with him.

The song was made by John Lecompt and he had said if you look at it in a way it's about his obsession with Eggo waffles."
that is absolutely hilarious but I reckon its true :D -
I think it's about how she loved this guy she was dating, and she thought she was everything. but by the end of the relationship she she's how bad he was to her, and that he was just trying to hurt her. but now that she's leaving, he wants her back because its just a game to him.

I think it's about someone who she loved secretly. And its been such a long time that she doesn't even remember why she liked him very much, I think it's just because he was forbidden 'cause the things you most want are usually the things you can't get. Then they start dating and she gets very happy, but than she realizes he knew she was in love with him all along, and he was acting bad to her to put her off.And as she saw his true identity, she doesn't want to be with him anymore. I know it sounds complicated but that's my point of view.
