   This song is about Christ. How he wants us to give Him our pain, how He'll save us. Don't forget that Evanescence is a band that always makes sure people understand their lyrics, and they openly declare it. Yes the theme is dark but because it's to be relatable to people who find themselves in dark spaces but to never forget that Christ is always with us and speaks to us. All their tracks is ultimately about Christ and how, no matter what we go through to keep reaching for Him. Same as Tourniquet, Forgive me, Even in Death, Understanding, The only one (listen to the bridge about how she calls out to Christ).., the waight of the world, Lithium and all their other songs. They're the ones fighting of the enemy through their lyrics. And they're music has helped me find Christ and this saved me from depression and suicide!!! Please give it a listen again and you will see that their music is the center of Jesus Christ xxx light and light to u all!

   this could be ambiguous, since the lyrics "All I want from you is your hurting"
   but also
   "I want to heal you. I want to save you from the dark."
   It can be about her love that has turned to the dark, who is turning away from all the goodness and he's hurting her, but she wants to save him. She wonders why should she care "Why should I care if they hurt you" but she does care. This song shows loyalty and it reminds me a lot of my friend. She has a brother who was always nasty to her but she kept by his side and protected him to the end

   It's about someone with pain. Maybe abuse from someone and she sees it and feels a connection with this person that she doesn't know and wants that person to not be in pain.
   
   Or she could possibly just want the pain because she says "It matters more to me than if i were hurting myself" She wants that persons specific pain.
