Evanescence: Never Go Back Meaning
Never Go Back Lyrics
And I know there's something wrong
But I can't turn the light on
In that split second change
When you knew we couldn't hold on
I realized I live to love you
Save yourself
Don't look back
Tearing us apart until...

Okay, I'll just make it into a sort of story synopses to describe my thoughts. Start with two sailors, pirates, whatever you wanna call em, a man and a woman. Their ship is destroyed. Both survive but now she is seperaeted from him, and he's in danger. She then goes on a quest to save him, because she loves him. She finds him, rescues him, and tells him to save himself, despite that it will break her heart to be seperaeted again. Listen to the song, it'll all match up.

This song is about the tsunami that hit Japan last year, i think. It is dedicated to all those who lost a loved one in the dreadful tsunami and that is what this song is about. Read the lyrics and imagine you talking to a victim of the tsunami and earthquake. If this wasn't a song, that person's answer would be quite similar to the lyrics in this song. P.S. Evanescence iz awesome!

i think this song is about a guy breaking up with her just when she realises she loves him. she tries to get back together with him because she thinks they belong together. he won't get back together with her (she cant find him) and she feels like she is drowning without him.she feels like the only true love she ever felt is dead or "sleeps beneath the waves."

From what I understand, this song is about the disastrous earthquake that hit Japan. I think it is from the perspective of someone who has lost a loved one as a result of the damage from a resulting tsunami("The only world I've ever known sleeps beneath the waves")
