The World's Not Waiting (Five Tired Boys in a Broken Down Van) Lyrics

This might just be a waste of time
there's no one I'd rather waste
My time with than all my best friends
So start the car up

We'll all take turns not for the worst
We're all "hasbeens" and "never-were's"
And we're all in the back singing...

This song is about spending time with your friends and not really caring about anything.(this might just be a waste of time there‘s no one I’d rather waste my time with than all my best friends) and that they’re not really caring about the past they just want to have fun right now (as if we cared enough to make up for lost time) They also think that they’re not much and aren’t going to be anything.(We’re all has evens and never-were’s) and that they’re just watching everyone go on with life but they aren’t.(just watching life pass us by) and that they just want to have fun and live the teenage life. And that they want to leave and go places.(We’ve been down we’ve been out we’ve been hanging around/waste this night) and (tip our glasses to no direction/start the van get me out of this one horse town)

I think the song is about you don't have to change yourself for success the original name was fellowship of the nerds and certain lyrics like "we all has beens and never weres "
