Fall Out Boy: Uma Thurman Meaning
Song Released: 2015
Uma Thurman Lyrics
I can move mountains
I can work a miracle, work a miracle
Oh, oh, keep you like an oath
May nothing but death do us part
She wants to dance like Uma Thurman
Bury me till I confess
She wants to dance like Uma Thurman
And I can’t get you...

Just a thought. could fallout boy be expressing a hidden desire to transition to female?
"I am gonna ask you questions. And every time you don't give me answers, I'm gonna cut something off. And I promise you, they will be things you will miss!"
Ok.. that was creepy -
You guys are overthinking this. according to Pete Wentz, the bassist and lyricist, "This was a fun song to write. originally, when we came up with the idea, and there was this sample in it, which is a sample from The Munsters TV show, people kept saying “oh cool, like Quentin Tarantino, cool” when we played it. We decided why don’t we kind of create this world around that? To me, Uma Thurman and Winona Ryder, they were these women in pop culture who were quirky, but that made me only crush on them harder. And rather than going with the traditional Uma Thurman role, we thought a lot about Kill Bill and who her character was in that, and this kind of resilience and this violence, but there’s something that’s authentic about it (like a woman taking revenge or being empowered). So that’s what the chorus of the song’s about, and the verses are what you would do to try and capture this woman’s affection." source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uma_Thurman_%28song%29
that ought to be interpretation enough. -
I think the song is more about this guy who gets approach by this straight forward girl. It goes on about the things he does suggesting he is full of himself and the things he can do thinking himself better than other people. So when this girl just takes him he is enthralled by her. He wants her and she knows it because she is devious and clever suggested by the lyrics towards the end. He either wants to marry her or he just wants her to be his until death or for eternity. He does make reference to scriptures several times again either relating more to how great he thinks he is or simply stating he is Christ and she is the one that will kill (sacrifice) him and he wants her to do it because he is so into her and thinks her way more than himself.
..or maybe its way more simpler and I'm making I way more complex then it needs to be. -
My boss said Fall Out Boy was playing Mad Libs and came up with the lyrics through that.
