Foo Fighters: Breakout Meaning
Song Released: 2000
Breakout Lyrics
One of these days I'll chase you down
Well look who's going crazy now
We're face to face my friend
Better get out
Better get out
You know you make me break out
Make me break out
I don't want to...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:I can't believe no one sees that this is about Methamphetamine addiction... "running circles in my head" = SPUN a term that means being too high or high for too long that you are disoriented and, well, spun. "Well look who's going crazy now
We're face to face my friend
Better get out
Better get out" is about when a tweaker gets "stuck" in the mirror picking at the acne that meth causes. "I may be crazy, little frayed around the ends
One of these days I'll phase you out
Burn it in the blast off
Burn it in the blast off" After being up for a few days the slep deprivation causes a peson to become "frayed around the edges" Almost all adicts pomise themselves that they will quit some day hence the phraze "One of these days I'll phase you out" And of course the most telling lyric is "Burn it in the blast off" I have always thought this was the action of plunging the dope into the vein but it could be snorting also because snorting speed burns very very bad.
"Watching me crawl away
Watching me crawl away" The cawl away part is about those tweakers that go "carpet cruising" or crawl around on the carpet looking for meth that may have been dropped. -
Dude I thought he meant that this girl makes him “breakout” with acne because this girl stresses him out so bad and he doesn’t wanna look like that.
-
I think this song is about letting your true emotions show.
-
I think the song is about someone being pushed around so much that he goes crazy. He breaks out into someone he doesnt want to be. "I dont wanna look like that." This person makes him need help.
"Therapy still scares me
Putting me on my back again"
- an example of help
The help does not help and he ends up breaking out hence a mental Breakout. -
I think this song is about being pushed around or treated like shit by everyone, (this can mean being bullied or made fun off), and youre pushed to the point of being on the edge, and if someone does something in even the slightest way to piss you off your gonna snap, breakout, really lose your grip on your anger.
-
I'm thinking its about a girl he's with and he's getting really sick of her. He's getting so fed up with her and he's sick of trying to please her (You make me dizzy running circles in my head). I think he's warning her to back off or he's about to break out of this. Or something along those lines. Not exactly sure those are the right words.

Haha!! I'm not sure Dave meant he breaks out in acne. I think it's more anger he breaks out in but your interpretation made me laugh. You never know, maybe it is pimples he's singing about.
I'mm never gonna see that song the same way anymore. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
