Foo Fighters: Stranger Things Have Happened Meaning
Stranger Things Have Happened Lyrics
This hazy afternoon
I'm breathing in this silence
Like never before
This feeling that I get
This one last cigarette
As I lay awake
And wait for you to come through the door
Oh maybe maybe maybe
I can share it...

I think the song is a message from a bf to his current gf that he cheated on before and got back together. His message to her is loud and clear that the excitement he once felt has gone but he wants to please her because he is scared of hurting her again he puts the message to her. They've both been lonely before and are like that now only in a relationship. It's his way of saying I'm bored and want out. And most probably is wanting to find someone new.

I think he had been watching strange things on TV whilst eating a cheeseburger. The last cigarette is a metaphor for a dolphin that he had seen at Sea Life Centre. This is what it means.

My interpretation is this is about a guy who is in love with a girl. The girl doesn't want to be with him because she disapproves of something he does ("I behave, I behave, I behave so I can share it with you.") Maybe drugs? He's thinking about the good times he's spent with this girl. The cigarette he keeps talking about could be a metaphor for these memories (he keeps talking about smoke when he mentions the person he's missing). "Stranger things have happened" means he still has a spark of hope that the girl will come back to him. So yeah.

I think it's about a person who is lonely, even though this person is among people.
Here I take the lyrics very literally. This person (I think of it as a man, because of Grohls voice haha) is alone is his house with just one sigaret left. I think this is a symbol of weakness.
This person wishes for his beloved to be with him so they can smoke the sigaret together (share the weakness?). Later in the song, you get to know (s)he's with him, but still this person feels lonely and smokes the sigaret on his own and wishes for his beloved to go away.
So he still feels lonely, even with his beloved near him. He forgot about the lonely feeling, but feels it again when his beloved is around him. He thinks of this as strange - ''Stranger things have happened, I know'' - and want to change this thinking. But he don't know how or into what.
I think it's a very sad song, very beautiful though :)
