Helena Beat Lyrics

Sometimes life it takes you by the hair
Pulls you down before you know it, it's gone
And you're dead again
I've been places and I won't pretend
Yeah I'd make it out just to fall on my head

Wake up strange and take the walk downstairs
Hit...

I thought it might be about suicide, and the #2 top commenter makes a good case for that. But the vague references to drugs might make the case it's about addiction and trying to overcome that.

Given Montana's public efforts to tackle their meth problem, I wonder if "Helena" in the title is a clue to that.

It's saying that when you're a kid you can't wait to be an adult... and when you grow up your life basically sucks. My guess is he is poor with an alcohol addiction, and dreams of himself as a kid, wishing he could go back.

the music video is totally referencing Lord of the Flies. There is a clip in the video with a kid with a pigs head. If I had to guess at the meaning of this song I would say it is making some sort of commentary on the structure of society.

I am, to take a rift from the great Susan Sontag, against interpretation. Artists who take themselves too seriously don't normally produce good music. There are exceptions to this maxim, of course.

I believe this song is about never giving up no matter how hard it is . For example " Yeah yeah and it's ok I tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way Yeah yeah and I'm alright I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight" hes saying hes gnna hold on to the chair, even tie himself to it so he wont fall.he also says he took a sip of something poison, for those that dont know poison is dangerous lol, but he'll hold on tight so he can make it past and never give up. Best band with the best messages in there songs

I think this is a great song so unlike the rest of the music in the charts...it actually talks about real life. From what I can guess he has had a bad life, hence the pawning part and the tie my hands part could be about drugs and falling because of them. I have no idea about the poison part...I'm guessing alcohol.

I think this song is about how when you're a pumped up kid, you can't wait to be a pumped up adult but when you're a pumped up adult, you want to just run faster than your bullet. Also, I feel the artist is trying to convey how you never really know where life will take you. You could go anywhere from seeing a Leatherface in a Del Taco parking lot to hanging with Skeletor at the next 12XU, you just never know. The sip of poison part is about coca cola freestyle because it can be addicting and therefore a vice in your life. This interpretation is great and all right?

i think the song is about drugs . " tie my hands up to the chair so i don't fall that way" so he doesn't fall into the bad ways he used to be.
" took a sip of something poison, but ill hold on tight" hes been that way but hes going to hold on tight not to go back.

I interpret this song to mean that the singer wishes to be a kid again because his adulthood sucks: He's poor ("Hit the pawn up on the corner and pay for my rent") and an alcoholic ("I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight"). The second verse is pretty much self-explanatory.

I think it's about just having a hard time in life and with an addiction. He says, "I tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way Yeah yeah and I'm alright
I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight." That sounds like he's saying he's falling over drunk from alcohol. In the song he's pawning stuff to pay rent and just telling about how his life is sucking and so he drinks.

Well personally, I really have no idea... But if I were to put a meaning not to the song ( cause thats just a bunch of mixed up words ) but the music video, I would say that they found this weird way to turn yourself into a kid again, and they want to make a little army to rule the world :)

Ummm. This song is clearly about drug use. Probably heroin. "tie my hands up to a chair so I don't fall that way" is a common way to inject bc you usually pass out from the high. "took a sip of something poison..." pretty self explanatory. Having to pawn belongings to pay rent... The list goes on and on.

Drugs. I think it sounds like being an addict. To anything really, not just drugs I guess.
