Foster the People: Nevermind Meaning
Nevermind Lyrics
I know you've tried all this before
And did your best to fight the war
And break it off
But if I follow my name
I will calm you in the storm
And breathe you in when you are worn
Be still my love
...

When it says "I know you've tried all this before and did your best to fight the war and break it off", its saying how the person had gotten her/his heart broken before and tried to end relationships in the past. Then when it says "I will calm you in the storm and breathe you in when you are worn, be still my love", its saying even when the person is upset the singer will try to comfort them and even when other people dislike the person the singer will still love them. When it says "nevermind what your looking for your gonna find what your looking for", its saying that the person is always going to get what they want because of who they are to the singer.

as the song name is 'never mind' I think this song is about a person (himself) who loves a girl that is in love with someone else. when she gets heartbroken or sad he will be waiting for her and be there to catch all the pieces of her broken heart. when he says "never mind what your looking for, you'll always find what your looking for" I think meaning never mind looking for the person you loved again because he broke your heart. you'll always find someone who loves you (referring to himself again)
