A person makes a mistake, causing their significant other to leave them. They proceed to go "out on the town" drinking, and stop by their s/o's house. Their s/o doesn't want anything to do with them, and they realize how badly they messed up.

A boy is in love with a girl and he goes to her house in the middle of the night and he is nervous about doing stuff like this but he's seen it in the movies and the girls always like it so he does it hoping to see her smile but instead she rejects him and he stands out in the cold unwanted

A young girlfriends family is not in favor of the relationship. They fear hurt & uncomfortable life for their daughter so they forbid her to be involved with him (Romeo & Juliette) He is so hurt and confused he consoles in his mother. So after a night of deep thought and "out on the town" drinking (with encouraging friends) appeared at her home, causing "a scene". Not realizing the consequences it could cause, he just wanted to see her smile. Being forced to be separated from her the alcohol caused him to make a bad choice. The family called authorities and now he sits behind bars "with no one to keep him warm."
