Walking the Dog Lyrics

Walking alone 'cause the night is dead.
Crossed my mind when I crossed the bridge.

How you lost your mind,
and your wrist got bruised,
and you wanted better love
when it was sleeping in your bedroom.
Hold on,
Stay on my side,
Don't...

Once again they are not sure who they are, "If you could see me, whoever I am." Nate is talking about (in my opinion) a relationship too, saying, "Hearts do break// I always thought from the start I'd be the one moving on// You wanted better love, well it's sleeping in your bedroom, hold on, stay by my side, don't go…" This time, Nate wants to commit to someone. He wants her to stay and he thought that he'd be over her and that he would be moving on first, but he was wrong. It's hard to know for sure what this song really is about. The video is no help, just craziness. It's a weird, but cool song. Love the video too

I have seen an illustrated description where 'Walking The Dog' is a 50's term or earlier for having rear entry sex with a woman who kneels backwards on a chair holding onto the back. The man is standing and holds onto her pony tail (popular 50's hairstyle) whilst he's having sex with her.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
