i think this is about a male prostitute who needed to pay for his college, and it has two dialogues of the college prostitute and his client, the deeper kind of voice being the client. the first verse.. “i don’t wanna pick a slice…dark fingernail polish” being the client. and the “im the treasure baby i’m the prize…f my way through college” being the prostitute.
i think the prostitute starts getting a kind of lust for his client? and the client is telling him not to get wrapped up in that kind of life. prostitute says, “wake me up when the bell rings i’m gunna sleep cause you live in my daydreams” (showing the lust, bell rings being college) and i think the prostitute gets too wrapped up in that kind of life and starts going kind of crazy, the whole reason he started this was to pay for his college and do well in college but he’s now sleeping through his classes and daydreaming. (quote above) getting wrapped up in hard drugs.. guns, unsafe conditions for him. when a client says, “stewing on the black dope…got a shotgun in my pocket” but yeah idk this is just what i thought of it
