The title is from an old Saturday Night Live skit where a woman (Babs) is feeling down and can't figure out why. Chevy Chase plays a doctor making a house call and determines that the problem is she has not been taking care of her Uvula (the thing that hangs in the back of your throat.)
Doctor: Knock, knock
Babs: Who's there?
Doctor: Bab's uvula
Babs: Bab's uvula who?
Doctor: I don't know Babs, but I do know this...you've let your uvula go to the dogs.
