Song Released: 1987
Welcome to the Jungle Lyrics
We got fun 'n' games
We got everything you want

We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease

In the jungle
Welcome to the...

Honestly, when axl was doing time in an indiana state prison, There were three sections of the prison (I can't remember the name of the prison at the moment) The left being schooling area, right being working area, and the center "the jungle" was for people who were either constantly in trouble, or just didn't want to work or do schooling, axl was in the jungle, and his time there is what he based the song off of (honestly, I don't think I'll ever be back to this site but go ahead and bash away, you know I'm right, because I was in there with axl when he wrote it)
-
This song basically talks about how axl when he first arrived to l.a. didnt expect everything he saw, he started to see the dark side of the city and began experimenting with DRUGS, SEX, AND PROSTITUTES, im not saying the prision thing is not right because is kind of the same.
-
axl and a friend hitched to new york, and an old black man said to him, "you know where you are? you're in the jungle. you're gonna die." a few years later, he hitched to L.A. to find izzy. he wrote the song about his experiences in L.A. and the grittier side of things. pretty obvious song.
-
This idiot at my school today thinks this song isn't about sex...if you got money honey we got your disease?....thats self explanitory
-
ok hold up just one second ok!? this song was based on the prison that axl was held in. "welcome to the jungle! your gonna die!" think about it! throw somebbody in jail is like throwing someone into a jungle full of hungry creatures waiting to eat your soul!!! guns n roses was the shit... but if you want my opinion, guns n roses went straight to hell the second slash got booted!!
-
This song is definitly about drugs
look at these parts from the lyrics
-If you got the money honey
We got your disease
-You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free
-And when you're high you never
Ever want to come down, so down, so down, so down YEAH
-Watch it bring you to your
It's gonna bring you down!
In The Song Jungle Means Like A Place Where All Junkies,Potheads,Crackheads, Etc. Etc.
And When He Says I Wanna Hear You Scream Its Because I Think In My Opinion Though, That When She Gets High Or Whatever Drug She Takes She Might Get Raped But That's My Opinion
P.S
This Song Is Awesome

Welcome to the jungle
We got fun 'n' games
We got everything you want
Honey we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money honey
We got your disease
The disease refers to drugs, probably Heroin because Slash did a lot of that. The jungle is of course the big city.
Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want you're gonna bleed
But it's the price you pay
And you're a very sexy girl
Very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get there for free
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my, my serpentine
I,I, wanna hear you scream
Tasting the bright lights refers to a drug, and there saying that she's whoring herself for the drugs. My serpentine is probably his penis. -
THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY ABOUT SEX!!!!!!!!!!!
all the money references
"If you got the money honey"
"But it's the price you pay"
"But you won't get them for free"
point to prostatute
"Serpintine""Bright light"both might mean sperm
"We got your disease"STD
"I wanna watch you bleed"
"If you want it you're gonna bleed"
Clearly obvious
"We got fun 'n' games"
"And you're a very sexy girl"
"Watch it bring you to your...knees,"
ABSOLUTE DUH!! -
You know what I think it's about? it's about drugs sex and a bad city full of hookers.

YOU ALL HAVE IT WRONG...ESPECIALLY THE GUY WHO SAID IT'S ABOUT NEW YORK CITY, & THE NO-NOTHING ASSHOLE WHO SAID THAT IT WAS ABOUT THE VIETNAM WAR
It's really about the Sunset Strip Music Scene in the Late 80's/Early 90's. & how All the SHIT Involved with a band making it big can fucking SWALLOW AN ENTIRE BAND WHOLE & PUKE IT BACK OUT INTO A PUDDLE OF PISS...Which (if you can recall...) is ACTUALLY what fuking happened to Guns N Roses...Which is Why Chinese Democracy STILL HASN'T FUKING COME OUT & why we didn't hear SHIT from Saul Hudson (Saul Hudson=Slash) between "The Spaghetti Incident?" (1993) and Velvet Revolver's Contraband (A Decade Later in 2003)...And if you Actually *LISTEN* to the song Fall to Pieces...it's NOTHING but Sweet Child O' Mine with the licks and solo's Re-Arranged and Lyrics that are like what happened in the Break-up between Axl & his "Sweet Child O' His" only Axl became Scott Wieland instead...so uuuh he did a little be less Heroin...Maybe?! but Probably not...
