H.I.M: Join Me Meaning
Join Me Lyrics
Baby join me in death
Baby join me in death
We are so young
our lives have just begun
but already we're considering
escape from this world
and we've waited for so long
for this moment to come
we're so anxious to...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:I think it's asking the narrator's lover if she/he is willing to give everything up for the love of the narrator. It's also got allusions to a Romeo and Juliet esque thing in the sense that I don't think that people wanted them to be together, so they killed themselves.
-
plain and simple
ROMEO AND JULIET. -
No one is a dumb ass, of coarse its asking someone to die for love, but in the love metal archives dvd, there was an interview where ville said it was like a modern day romeo and Juliet story, which it is, because romeo and Juliet died for love. They joined each other in death.
-
I think you dumbasses are dumb. This song means he's asking the person to die together and the person refuses. See the video when she drops the poison to the other life.
-
This song's name is really Join Me in Death. If you had bought the Razorblade Romance CD, you would know this. Any ways, I agree. I think it is about a person that is willing to give anything, and everything for this girl. That is mostly what Ville Valo's music is about.
-
It is about Romeo and Juliet, in a different interview he said it was about them.
-
Thats the meaning most people get from it.
Thats what I see in the song as well.
Villo actually did an interview in which they discussed the meaning of this song. He said the song really had no meaning and he wrote it with love being a metaphor for sex and he wrote the song b/c of one girl he bought drinks at a bar to try and hookup with her and they ended up drinking like 13 rounds and she ended up going to the hospital with alcohol poisioning. He brought her so close to death b/c he was trying to "make love" with her. -
thats exactly what I thought... because parts in the song kinda make the illusion that people them together...
