H.I.M: In the Nightside of Eden Meaning
In the Nightside of Eden Lyrics
Cursing the gods we have become
We steal the fire from a sacred heart
And bleed the wine unholy
We fall in love with the serpent's song
And fear nothing
In the nightside of Eden
We're born...

i think that all him songs from this album are about a satainic love story untold. about a sacrifice made to the devil for love. "steal the fire of a sacred heart and bleed the wine unholy" meaning blood giving for the sacrifice, steeling her heart. cause in this whole album he is talking about a girl. Falling in love as the devil leads the way (falling in love with the serpents song).
fearing nothing cause we have nothing left to loose,
the nightside of eden meaning the devils playground, reborn dead, and willing to be. -
"bleed the wine unholy" this is like a blood pact with the devil
falling in love in the serpents song means that you are about to devote your life to evil and sadistic ways being notoriously tempting to others
nightside of eden is like the contrast to the garden of eden, the evil side of it that god never had anything to with, created by the devil for his followers -
What I think he is saying through this song is that he is warning us that Hell is real (I believe the same thing) Ville says "forever we will be crucified" crucifixion was a terrible thing he seems to be warning us and telling us to turn away from Hell I have been searching and I have found Christ he is amazing but I will not lie any "Christian" that tells you life is easier once you become one in not being 100% honest it's really hard to follow Christ but when your living for Him it is honestly an amazing feeling.

When we think of Eden, we all think of God and the bible and Adam and Eve, and how it was a special garden of life. When Ville sings about the "night side" of Eden, he's talking about the darker side, the side nobody put in the bible, the side where everything isn't as good as it looks. In other words, Hell. When he sings, "we fall in love with the serpent's song and fear nothing" he's saying that the devil tricks us and we start to not care about anything. So he's pretty much singing about Hell, the "night side" of Eden and how bad it is. More or less, the way I see it, he's warning us.

I'm not sure what this song really means. I've been trying to figure it out. perhaps something about turning against god (common life/society rules) I'm not suree..as he sings about eden in night time. also the line 'we can fall in love with the serpents song...and fear nothing' perhaps meaning theyre (him and someone probably some girl) aren't afraid to become their own beliefs even if its against whats usually expected. Like religion because they want to interpret life and how to life for themselves.
