Metaphor Lyrics

You stole my pure intentions
You are the sickness in between Let me in
I’ll bury the pain
You taught me to be sad as you
You almost made me take it all Let me in,
I’ll bury the pain
You bend me and you shake me
You beg me then you break...

I think it’s about love. How you act different when you’re in love. You do things you normally wouldn’t with someone else feelings as priority one, instead of your own.

i think it might be about drugaddiction and coming down from it. like withdrawals. his intention was like having good time, chill out, but he got to deep in it, the sickness is his addiction and thats also why he feel like a sinner.

I interpret it as though he may be struggling with his own internal turmoil, the 'you' that exists is the metaphor, there is no physical you. Just the representation inside his own mind. 'The sickness that you are, the plague that made me starve, do you think you can show me how I've come this far?' He is trying to find out he has lasted so long. Many people deal with illnesses like depression by creating an embodiment for it. You taught me to be sad as you, you almost made me take it all - this fictional image nearly forced him to kill himself.

I get the feeling it really is a sickness he sings about, that someone close to him have. He want to break through and help her/him to get rid of the pain.
Perhaps she has some mental illness, and the song is about the struggle for him to help her through it.
"You taught me to be sad as you, You almost made me take it all", "You bend me and you shake me, You beg me then you break me", "You made me feel like a sinner".
All the above I think is about how he is affected by her illness, and her blaming him, for trying to help her, for not understanding what she's going through and such.
"I feel it's taking over, And everything falls dark
Break me open, the desperate cry" is perhaps about how her illness is getting worse.
"Do you think you can show me, How I come this far?"
i think is about how he has been by her side all the time wanting to help, but not reaching through..

I think it's about a guy that is blind of love and would do anything for his girl... and because of this he accuses her.
