I think the fall line symbolises the 'point of no return' that man kind has crossed from an inhumanity point of view "we fell across the fall line, aint there nothing sacred anymore" we've gone past the breaking point and we cant return from it so nothing is special or has meaning anymore
But thats just what i think about the song! Thats what i love about JJ's songs, he sings in a special language thats open to wveryones own interpretations.
