Kanye West: Power Meaning
Power Lyrics
Do it better than anybody ya ever seen do it
Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it
I guess every superhero need his theme music
No one man should have all that power
The clock's...
-
His song is basically a diss towards anything or anyone that hates on him, or call him delusional or crazy. However, he doesn’t care about their opinions or statements because he knows how talented, creative and legendary he is.
His statement “no one man should have all this power”. Is him saying that the fact that his statements and actions move people negatively or positively is proof of his impact on the world.
His statement “ I’m not tripping, I’m tripping off the power. Till then, fuck y’all the world is ours”. Is him telling his haters, I’m only reacting off of the attention you all give me, and the satisfaction of proving that I control you all. The world is mine and I do what I want.
The statement “21st century Schizoid man”.
Is him explaining potentially him mental health issue, and why he thinks and behaves the way that he does. Which others make fun of him for. He is celebrating his awkwardness and mental health issue.
Lastly, his statement of “ jumping out the window and letting everything go”. Is him giving up that power of grasping everyone’s attention and letting go of that power. Those diagnosed with SPD do not like social interactions or attention. So to him, death would be glorious. It would be him giving up all of the fame, fortune and power. That in a weird way he never wanted. -
The song is mostly a double entendre for fame and power distribution. The first verse has a hidden massage about the stereotypes of good and evil. The second verse is a painting of Ye. The third verse is a painting of how the public sees Kanye- a caricature. The last verse is him coming to terms with his own mortality. The outro is an emotional expression of all the above.

i think he was talking about the then yet to come Arab uprising; and how close it was to come. the uprising was cleverly and secretly instigated by the U.S Ghaddafi wasn't crazy saying the people may have been drugged; it's a possibility.

this song kind of confuses me i can understand what the one guy is talking about with the chorus and new world order. However the verses make it seem like hes saying 'I Don't care what people say, fuck them.'
also h=this was the definition for schizoid

Psychology . of or pertaining to a personality disorder marked by dissociation, passivity, withdrawal, inability to form warm social relationships, and indifference to praise or criticism.
2.
Informal . of or pertaining to schizophrenia or to multiple personality.
This makes me think hes saying hes crazy,
actually now that im thinking it he says 'I got the Power' so maybe hes saying hes a crazy asshole with alot of power? idk either way i love this song -
this song is about how the government only has power and we will see later on. this theory is known as nwo new world order which means power behind the throne. when he says no man should have all that power clocks ticking im just counting the hour he means wait its gonna happen you just wait. most rappers hide it like eminem's song lose yourself it hides it well but it says as we move toward a new world order they are very shady rappers these rappers and singers include, jay z, kayne west, rihanna, eminem. if you are looking for a real rapper that knows the truth listen to nas he is great. jay z is the worst he is a sinner and worships satan he calls him self j hova which is the name of jesus jehovah which calling yourself jesus is a sin. the world is creepy dont trust anyone dont trust advertisers like disney for sure.

He's saying that I'm on top. So what if I'm doing this or that it doesn't mean anything. People think he's a bad person.
