This song is all about critique. Critique of the rappers themselves, and critique of the lifestyle/game they are playing, and critique of the whole music industry/media, specifically other rappers. They know what they do is outrageous, and they see the flaws each carries. They talk about their expensive cars, the women, the money, how outrageous it all is. Some might even say that the rappers, especially Kanye, sees how his music started, much like the mainstream rap, and hes appalled at how he became famous off of it(its outrageous) They also see how rap now a days has turned to nothing but, drugs, money, cars, and abuse to women. They use typical lyrics found in todays rap music, and at the end say "im so appalled," or "what am i saying". Basically disappointed at where the industry is going. They also talk about their critics, how they went from being loved to hated, its all a critique on society. They are also addressing their critics, saying they can think what they want about them, but they know what they are doing. Take Jay Z's line about being underpaid or overrated? He was once the rap industry's biggest thing, and now with all this stuff about illuminati, etc, hes a devil worshipper, (live long enough to see yourself become a villain. They are getting even more hate now, because they dont stick to mainstream rap like some do, as they find it "appalling" So of course they receive hate for it.

What ever your specific take on it, it can be agreed that this song is all about critique and criticism.
