Kesha: Cannibal Meaning
Cannibal Lyrics
Rawr
I have a heart
I swear I do
But just not baby when it comes to you
I get so hungry
When you say you love me
Hush, If you know what's good for you
I think your hot
I think your cool
Your the kinda guy I'd stalk in...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song refers to her abusive boyfriend she had. She would starve herself. Shown in lines such as: “When you tell me I’m pretty, that’s when the hunger really hits me.” I also think Kesha just had fun with the rest of the song as it was a sensitive subject.

#2 top rated interpretation:Personally, my partner and I believe in feminism, and we think in this particular piece by Kesha, she is seeking to further intimidate her partner sexually. She wishes for him to be the submissive in the relationship and consume his reproductive organ, in a loving manner. The cannibalistic references are not to be perceived as literal, but on the other hand metaphorical. “Use your finger to stirre my tea” means she wants to use his finger to sexually pleasure herself, and notice this feminist viewpoint. She uses the rethorical tool pathos, when she states «I’ll pull a Jefree Dahmer». Here Kesha references a serial killer who raped and ate men exclusively, again elaborating on extreme feminist topics. Another significant part of the song is “now that you’re up my anus, I’m gonna eat you, fool”. The gender roles are clearly switched and the male part of the intercourse equals the pray in this situation. Also, notice the mating sounds she’s yelling out in the bridge, they can be compared to the sounds a wolf makes, which is a perfect example of a predator. In conclusion, “Cannibal” by Kesha is an analytic masterpiece, and it can be interpreted in several ways. Either way, the sexual and lyrical references will continue to shape relationships worldwide nevertheless.

#3 top rated interpretation:She's a heartbreaker, she likes the attention of the boys, she feeds off of it. Doesn't literally mean eat them. When she wasn't famous guys didn't notice and now that she is guys wanna kiss a$$ so they better watch out

It’s simple Boss B**** energy. It’s like Nelly Furtado’s “Man Eater” song. The lyrics aren’t literal, they’re all metaphorical for being in charge and having extreme confidence.
It’s empowerment. -
yes, this song isn't about actually being a cannibal. she only uses the words "now that i'm famous you're up my anus" as an act of yo you never really noticed how great I was until I became famous and now you wanna be a stuck up. Its only an act on how guys would treat her before she became famous so they better watch out.

This song refers to her abusive song producer and boyfriend. He would make her starve herself to look good. When she says ‘whenever you tell me I’m pretty, that’s when the hunger really hits me’ she is basically saying that her pretty appearance is due to the fact he is forcing her not to eat.

Honestly whatever the song means it has a nice beat. You can not deny that fact. Anyways, the haters or people who belive her song is wrong or creepy- you do not have to tell us you will no longer listen because no one actually gives fucks :D
-
contrary to popular belief, this song is NOT about an abusive relationship or eating disorders: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/keha-talks-vaginal-exorcism-and-dr-luke-controversy-65272/
“Cannibal?”
Right. I feel like she knows me really, really well. We can go to both extremes. In the vulnerable sense and the batshit crazy sense.
How do you end up writing a song about cannibalism with your mom? Did she come up with the idea, or did you?
I don’t really remember. All I remember is that once we got it started, it was the funnest song to write, because I’m obsessed with serial killers. I read about them, I study them, I can’t get enough.
Anyone in particular?
I’m obsessed with Jeffrey Dahmer. When we wrote “Cannibal,” I really wanted to include his name. Make a reference to him somewhere in the lyrics. Which people I guess were pissed off about.
I can’t imagine why.
Whatever. I’m so proud of that one.

I dont really like this. there may be hidden meanings to this song. there have been kidnappings and people eat the girls, or boys, organs in order to become young. but that said I do not know if this is true. (it is but please dont shame me) I think this song is bad and not for kids. she doesnt say Men but boys. that is very weird for me. but please dont hate this is just a theory. this song is pretty catchy only sometimes though. anyway as i said please dont hate. it's a pretty good song without thinking of what it means.
-
I just don't like it. It means more to me than others here are perceiving. And yes, I don't like it, and I will not change my mind. I don't like the lyrics, and that is that. All have a great day. Just my opinion, so let me be. No harm done, just an opinion. Thanks.

The song itself is good but the words.. the pictures.. the way Kesha portrays herself is very satanic. Cannibal? Why would she write about eating a boy?? Liver on a platter? Drinking blood??

Cannibal by Kesha is the best song ever made.

Kesha is obsessed with her boyfriend, and she's acting wild, like an animal, because of him. She is very dominating in this song, but her date has no reason to fear of being eaten by her!
