Kesha: Praying Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Praying Lyrics
Told me that I was nothing without you
Oh, but after everything you've done
I can thank you for how strong I have become
'Cause you brought the flames and you put me through hell
I had to learn how to fight for...

I used to think this was a song about resenting someone for hurting you, but after watching a Zach Sang Show interview, I realized that it was a song about the exact opposite, about forgiving someone for hurting you or doing you wrong. There's even a quote she gave that sums it all up.
"Being resentful is like drinking poison and expecting your enemy to die."
- Kesha

I was about to write this song about that Bible told me these verses had told me that it was personal and it reminded me of my grandpa but it changed my life to me and my grandpa. And it was growing up and to my life with my grandpa. Because it was so raw and it seems like praying is the most personal thing to do because when we wrote hymns online we wrote it and it’s like a masterpiece of art and music because it looked like a sheet of music and even it still pop.

Honestly I think theirs way more to this song and who it's actually about. The "celebrities" as we call them, are very limited to what they're allowed to say. Kesha, and so many others are imprisoned to the to the fame that they acquire doing sexual for favors for the men of power who made them what they are to us. Artists have no creative control over what type of music they make, and its been that way since 9/11. Look how Eminem raps now. Roseanne new show got cancelled for her openly speaking about the corrupt way our Government is ran, and Hollywood is the head of the snake that manufactures what we watch and see on T.V and hear in the music today. This song was directly aimed at the monsters in power pulling the strings. Good for Kesha for handling herself the way she did

I think to this song is to be in the special song into my heart, but my parents had been married, and so if someone need something from through the heart. But it helped a lot but it changed a lot of times and schedule, and we wrote with Ryan but he’s so talented and young person to write with, he’s so nice.
-
I think the song had been changed into pop and we also write with max Martin and shellback. And we had couple songs that had some fun and some of them is rocking the music but we’re grateful to work with max he’s so good with writing and mixing the music but we love him I gave max a hug but Jonas brothers is taking a picture with him it’s so cool and I wanted to make sure this song belongs to my cousin it’s a letter to my cousin Nathan. He passed away and so he wrote it at the church where they grow up in New Jersey.
-
It's about when she had her court case against Dr. Luke. I feel this song really shows forgiveness and maturity, one of my favorite songs. Just a thought but it seems likely.
-
I have a place in my heart, we’ve been changing our lives. We’ve got families at our houses, we cooked each other, and having those moments we had together. Including this song is reminding us, that god would promised to blessed us.
-
The song is about how Sony trapped her, for 3 years forbidding her to not make music, and how Dr. Luke, harrased her, and how her new song Praying shows that, she won’t let anyone do that to her again.
-
I think this emotional song is about everything had changed because I have someone to be with because my cousin is praying for me, so, this song reminds me of my cousin Nathan. How much I prayed for him and his friends too, because I’ve been so happy that I’ve got Jeremy. Because I’m not seeing Nathan and so my friend Jeremy is here and everytime he hugged me.
-
This song is is very emotional to dr. Luke, this reminding me about his wife, but his friend shooting him to be in different abuse, but we didn’t do anything we wrote praying! And so, I found this on my desk to listen. How much this net worth it for him. Luke is very nice, and abusing me.
-
it's a song about learning and displaying forgiveness towards someone has wronged you or tried to have control over your life you and it's about breaking free of this person(s) and becoming a strong, independent person on your own. such as the ongoing kesha vs dr luke court case
-
This song is about moving on from her record producer/ rapist, who she was in a years long court battle with to release her from her contract. No one believed her. He's still in the music industry.
-
Kesha her beautiful song is about her court case she recently faced. This can be inspirational for many young and old tender Australians who need to find a way out of life and let loose from all the "Monster so they can breathe again"
-
What I honestly think is she's talking to her old reckless self.
Kinda like what Abel from The Weeknd did.
It seems pretty legit, I guess. -
I honestly think she's talking to her older self...
Could be wrong, but it seems legit!
