Cold Desert Lyrics

I'm on the corner, waiting for a light to come on,

That's when I know that you're alone

It's cold in the desert, water never sees the ground

Special unspoken without sound

Told me you love me, that I'd never die alone

Hand...

He's talking about being in love and how it's an eternal struggle and relentless never ending battle so water never sees the ground. He's in love and everyone can see it clearly but that doesn't keep him from contesting his position so to speak this is hard to explain but I relate so let me try it's like even tho at the end of the day we know where we stand that doesn't stop us from argueing our views and dislikes about our significant other. He's talking about how he doesn't like to complain but here he goes anyway is what I think and the only way he knows how to describe that is by saying that he's afraid of the sound of the words. And he talks ultimately about how his love for her is so heavy that he feels like Jesus doesn't even love him bc of the load that he's been given. He feels like he's been burdened the heaviest load as far as he can tell and that's why he says nobody knows and nobody sees nobody but him. Caleb is a genius when it comes to explaining his feelings idk if he did all the song writing but if he did. Bravo
