Sex on Fire Lyrics
I know they're watching, they're watching
All the comotion, kiddie like play
Has people talking, talking
You, your sex is on fire
The dark of the alley, the breaking of the day
The head while...

it's about band members losing virginity.
I't explains how they got first orgasm and then moved up. here is explanation: starts out with masterbation then bamm orgasm! as seen in video you see hands behind what looks like a mosquito net have a close look next time you will see lots of hands propped on something and even shows the cousin look at his hands when he is about to unwrap the foil to eat his chicken drumstick when he is finished he has grin/smile on his face. Anyway they move up to getting blow jobs etc
virginity lost orgasm galore. shows older brother being showered with water in video which can only mean one thing!....I experienced the greatest thing ever consumed by it in fact an ORGASM/KUM A GREAT FUCK. -
After looking at the video and rereading the lyrics to this song, I see a very dark and sinister interpretation.
The story begins just after the writer abducts a young girl from a playground or outside a school. She is confined in his vehicle. As they are driving away she is commanded to lay still and be quiet. A people are watching and a comotion is starting due to people's realization that a young girl seems to be missing.
He drives her to an alley where he rapes her all night. At first light he drives off to kill her and burn the body. As he is driving he forces her to give head. Thereafter, he strangles her to death. His knuckles are pale as he squeezes her throat; her mouth is of course open as she chokes and gasps for air.
He then burns the body. The fire feels feverish against his skin. He can taste her burning flesh. The bones rattle as the flesh is burned away.
'Sex on Fire" is sex with the knowledge your murder will follow. You are consumed with what will transpire...DEATH.
Interestingly, the video shows the singer being exorcised of a demon. Pesumably, the demon that possessed him to commit this hellish act. -
Lay where you're laying, don't make a sound
I know they're watching, they're watching
All the comotion, kiddie like play
Has people talking, talking
- this is an affair - they have to be quiet so they don't get caught. People are already suspicious and gossiping because of the flirting and banter going on between them.
You, your sex is on fire
-the sex is amazing. Totally red hot.
The dark of the alley, the breaking of the day
The head while I'm driving, I'm driving
Soft lips are open, knuckles are pale
Feels like you're dying, you're dying
- The sex is fantsatic and they do it anywhere they can - down an alley, or her giving him oral in the car whilst he's driving, his knuckles pale from gripping the steering wheel. It' so good it feels like an out of body experience or like heaven,
You, your sex is on fire
Consumed with what's to transpire -
totally consumed by whta she's going to do next or maybe what will happen if they get caught
Hot as a fever, rattling bones
I can just taste it,taste it
- I am lucky enough to have a husband who makes me feel this way...
If it's not forever, if it's just tonight
Oh We're still the greatest, the greatest,
The greatest
Even if it's just a one night stand - it's the best sex ever -
it's like,
"whoa, females are cool"
like "your sex" = female
"on fire" = cool
duh -
It's just about passionate sex. You people are reading too much into it!
-
As a songwriter/musician I can guarantee what it means. Not a damned thing. They had a rift, a melody while jamming, then stuck words to it. That's how we all do it! Starts with a line or two and then you build of the theme from there. Chances are "You, your sex is on fire" was first and it matched the tune and they took it from there. Random lyrics that get some minor editing and then people read too deep into them and try to make it all one big metaphorical mess. It is what it is, words.
-
It's very easily interpreted as a song about great sex turning into the woman having a venereal disease infecting him.
-
It's clearly about a man wanting and waitnig to be with another man, but they have to sneak because people will see them and they don't want to be seen and he is anticipating tasting him and driving his who who up the other guys cooch.

Sex On Fire is about possession and the ritual of exorcism. The large book that the pages are being pulled from represents a Bible or a book of exorcism spells and incantations. Chickens are often utilized for sacrificial purposes in certain religious ceremonies, such as the Cuban-based practice of Santeria. A great deal of what is going on is happening in the possessed person's mind, and you see him being held down several times as the demon residing within his body attempts to escape the exorcism. The water scenes that are depicted symbolize holy water which is, of course, also used in exorcisms. The video seems to actually be a metaphor for the classic and unremitting good versus evil fight. Reading the lines of the song, the possessed seems to understand that there are consequences in allowing the demon to possess him, but the demon is providing him with such pleasure, he can hardly fight it: I could just taste it; If it's not forever, if it's just tonight, oh it's still the greatest, etc... The warning is, however, that he will be consumed if he doesn't let go. At the end of the video, a black vapor or smoke is exhaled from his body - this would seem to depict the departure of the demon.
