Lady Antebellum: Need You Now Meaning
Song Released: 2009
Need You Now Lyrics
Reachin' for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you...

I wrote this song with Joshua and so I asked him if he can do country pop song for me and Joshua can make a new song that it’s country, because my dad and my mom were born in Knoxville and so I wanted to do something that has to do with Tennessee and their roots, and so I would go with country music, because I loved lady antebellum as much. And then Hillary Scott is designing my clothes for me it has the seventies outfit, and eighties and nineties. She’s so nice and sweet she wants to hang out with other people.

This song is about a couple who broke up and the woman is wondering if the man still thinks about her.
For the recent post, if this is for your new girlfriend, it’s not the right song for her.
If you guys are in a relationship, perhaps both of you know each others phone numbers, tell her what you said here, or you guys use the camera, so you can see each other and see her late at night. Problem solved. If one of you has no phone, then wait for the time that you are able to see her. Not the right song her, there are more romantic and love songs for your new girlfriend.

I think it's a great song. It can be taken any way it feels to you. For me it's thinking of my new girlfriend when I'm unable to see her and miss her dearly and wish I was with her late at night

I think to the song is make the song more about being single and go to Tennessee and hang out but we visit my grandma at Knoxville, but we saw her at the mall and I want to write that song I want to make this record and we wrote it with Hillary Lindsey, and Paul Worley, of course, she’s super beautiful and she want to see me and wrote the song with me since Paul has Jonas brothers writing their song need you now, more like popular than me and them together.
-
I think this song is to have relationship with someone but I haven’t worked with them before but she had helped me since I was about 16 years old, I was very young and also it’s made it from lady antebellum. But I wrote it with them but I’m interested into writing something for them. But I have special gift to lady antebellum.
-
I was at my grandpas house but I wanted to record this song with Victoria Shaw, and Paul Worley, I worked with them then I had to make everything fashion. But Hillary had some fashion styles, she’s going to help me.

For the person who made a comment recently. Sorry to hear that you can relate to the song more than anyone can imagine. Read the interpretation at song facts. Lesson to those who fell in love with their friend, it's really a risk revealing your love to them. Sadly, when the feeling is not mutual, sometimes the friend who has no feelings usually leaves the friendship. Then the one who is in love with them is confused if it is still right to go on and be friends with them or just follow the friend, just leave the friendship too. I'm not sure if you are the one in love or you are the one who didn't feel the same. If you are the one in love, accept that they can't return the love for you. If you are the latter, you still want to be friends with them? then talk with them. Maybe you guys can still be friends. Wish you all the best.

The song doesn't have to about a broken up couple. It could possibly be about two friends who were once always there for each other, but something happened. Maybe one friend fell in love with the other, but the other friend didn't feel the same, so they left. It doesn't always have to be about broken up couples. For me, I've never even been in a real relationship, but I have been in love. And I relate to the song more than anyone can imagine.

They seem to miss each other and are heart broken but in the video they both found someone else.

True love never dies.
-
It was a relationship that ended without a clear disclosure but of hurt. Both deal with pride [Said I wouldn't call] hence kept control of the feeling and desire to have the love that was lost [Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor]. Out of depression- each result to alcohol consumption. And as they say, which everybody can relate to; " In vino veritas." In wine there is truth.
Everybody can attest; nobody can lie effectively when drunk. Your get to loose of any reservations and pride but to let loose of yourself and the pain that you triesd hard to hide inside.[Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now] Despite the hurt- comes the human realization that it's still better to feel the "love" despite the hurt.[Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothin' at all]. For in feeling hurt opens door for possibilities to get back and redeen what was lost.
But each simply deal with the "what IFs" and thoughts of rejection.[And I wonder if I ever cross your mind]Both thinking if the other thinks and feels the same as what each was going through after the break up.
So with the help of wine- comes a defeat of pride and surrender to the desire to get back the love that was lost.An acceptance that each can't live without the other.[And I don't know how I can do without.I just need you now]
Experience tells a lot. -
A relationship is never over until u stop thinking about one another but the one stuck in the unhappy relationship probably will never stop thinking of the one he really loves..the single one will fall in love again and forget about him and he will be forever miserable. TRUST ME!! IV'E LIVED IT!!!!

The song is about a couple who broke up. But, they still love each other. They are still thinking of each other.
In the song, they regret parting from each other. They have a need for each other. I think, they are still apart because of pride. Waiting for the other to bend and come back but each is afraid to admit to one another or come back. -
This song is sung as a duet. It sounds like it's about two people who have broken up and are trying to find a way to cope. The girl says picture perfect memories are scattered all around the floor and the guy says he's been drinking and thinking that she'll come back, yet they both still want each other back.
