I am only interpretating Mike's lyrics. To me they sound basically like a part 2 to the original In The End lyrics. He says back then when we wrote the original song he was obsessed with time and all of the things he was going through. In the second verse he explains further about he was being treated wrongly by someone he trusted, but how he basically became stronger from it and in the end it doesn't even matter.
