Linkin Park: Iridescent Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Iridescent Lyrics
When you were waiting on the edge of the unknown
With the cataclysm raining down
Your insides crying, "Save me now"
You were there, impossibly alone.
Do you feel cold and lost in...

This song happen to make sense with the way transformers 3 was set up ha. No wonder its the theme song.
-
Satan? Really? What are you on?

I think the song is about a person who is going through a self destructive period of life 'You were standing in the wake of devastation' and this is due to their 'failures'
the song is telling them to 'Let it go' because if they don't they won't mend.
I also think that when mike sings 'And in a burst of life that blinded every angel' it symbolizes new life because it could be representative of the big bang 'sky had blown the heavens into stars'
I am not saying this is the offical meaning behind the song. it is just my interpretation of the lyrics of a brilliant song -
this song is telling us about the doomsday of the earth. there is nothing can hold on to. the phrase : "You build up all the failures, all you've known.
Remember all the sadness and frustration
And let it go."
means that you realized that you have made a mistake in your whole life but, you wants to relive back as the way before and did not want to make any sins anymore.
the phrase : "And in a burst of light that blinded every angel
As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars
You felt the gravity of tempered grace
Falling into empty space
With no one there to catch you in their arms."
means that when everything you see in the doomsday, it is like the mother earth has raged and throwing all single life in the earth away. -
I believe this song is about everything bad in your life, coming to haunt you. You can never live in the present instead of the past. Since you ARE living in the past...You're utterly depressed and try not to cry over what HAD happened, but you do. This song says you SHOULD live in the present. You SHOULD let go of your past. You SHOULD never forget, but also never let it bother you. Some people think living in the past is the only option, but it's not. If you let it go...You'll have a happier life...

Best song of this album. It means that a person should not be hopless and always try to think an idea to forget the past. This all makes a person confident to bear pain.
-
Its a hopeful song for someone, who has, give up hope. The song said let it go, meaning look at everything that's gone wrong in you life its in the pass so let it go. It's for someone who has been going though a very hard time for a long and its kinda reached it climb max and now its time move on. this songs means lot me, its timeless . x
