Linkin Park: Lies Greed Misery Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Lies Greed Misery Lyrics
I'mma be that nail in your coffin
Sayin' that I soften
I was duckin' down to reload
See you can save your petty explanations
I don't have the patience
Before you even say it I know
You let your pride and your ego
Talk slick to...

I thought someone insulted Fort Minor(Mike Shinoda) so he got the rest of Linkin Park to back him up and make this song as a rebuttal.
"Now let me show you Exactly how the breaking point sounds". I interpreted this as Fort Minor finally losing it after just taking in the other guy's insults for a while.
Ya I'm probably wrong but that's my theory. -
It can be standing up to a bully too!

This song refers to two people who literally hate each other to the point of fighting.
The first one (and also the bad guy, who is wrongly powerful) tries to keep himself calm (he is the stronger one) but fights by insulting the weaknesses of the other guy, acting sanctimoniously and trying to dominate the other.
The other guy fights back by cursing him and swearing. He wishes to see him fall back and manifest on all his negative emotions.
The first guy once more describes (high-headly) how he had no role in the downfall of the other and brags of his higher and better position, claiming it was he himself who did it.
Finally, the second guy wins, and either gloatingly or truthfully, reasons that the first guy lost because of his evil character and how he had it coming for him -
I think it refers to corrupt governments around the world...

I'm guessing that this is about someone who always looks down on you, and lies and cheats to put himself on top of you.
So this is the reaction of the person being put down.
I don't know. Just an idea.
