Song Released: 2014
Salute Lyrics
Ladies all across the world
Listen up
We're looking for recruits
If you're with with me
Let me see your hands
Stand up and salute
Get your killer heels
Sneakers, pumps
Or lace up your boots
Representing all the...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:Salute is about treating women right. Women are not weak and they should not let men tell them who they are they shouldn't be looked at as a 'pretty thing'. Some women don't know how to fight back the criticisms being thrown at them.
-
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:It's about women fighting in war. We aren't just softies. We can be strong we are not a vase like with one hit we brake because we are delicate we are strong to no matter what the gender.
-
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:Salute is about equality and women being equal and just as good, if not better than men. Women should be treated with equal rights to men and not be turned down by certain jobs because they're "a job for men". Women can fight for our country too.

Wow
I was today years old when I found out what is this song about because of you :))
Now I feel stupid
I always thought it's about them looking for a new member for the band :))
Just think about this and you'll understand me :)) -
About girls showing that they too are powerful and can make a difference. Many women go unnoticed but their contributions make up an important part of society today.
-
About women bieng just as good as men ya'll idiots!!!!!!!

The part "You think we're just pretty things
You couldn't be more wrong" is the main point in this song. Unfortunately, that meaning gets lost in the video! The video leans more towards stereotype that women are "just pretty (sexy) things" based on their portrayal. The way they look and move shows the difference of men from women - instead of the message of lyrics that say women can do what men can do. Kudos to the song writer, but thumbs downs to the video director! -
It's obviously not about an actual war as others suggest. It is was about a call to a literal battlefield, it wouldn't say "Don't need ammunition" "We don't need no camouflage" - unless they are suggesting women are daft enough to go into battlefield unprepared, with no plan except to "hit you with the truth". It's about asserting women's rights where they are - whatever country they are in.
-
About woman standing of for themselves.
-
Women are underestimated in our world but they have just as much right and power as men and should be treated as equals. Part of the cause of gender inequality is women underestimating themselves and believing that men are stronger and we should leave everything to them. We women need to stand up and show everyone what we are capable of.
-
It's about women having the power to do anything.
-
It is about women fighting in war.
-
Us women are strong no matter what just because we wrent men doesnt mean we arent strong fight for our country be a builder those jobs arent just for men make a stand.
-
Salute is asking women to do their part to save the world, not to stand by as men do it for them.
-
It is saying that women are tuff, and strong, and women's rights. It ain't just men that are tuff.
-
Salute is about female empowerment and the girls of the world coming together as one represent female mentality.
