Featuring: Jason Derulo
Secret Love Song Lyrics
And you kiss me on the dance floor
I wish that it could be like that
Why can't it be like that? Cause I'm yours
We keep behind closed doors
Every time I see you, I die a little more
Stolen moments that we...

#1 top rated interpretation:The lyrics that Little Mix sing are clearly about a relationship which is not socially acceptable (being LGBT+ myself, this is the way in which I view it - as an LGBT song - although it could be for interracial, cousins, step siblings ect. relationships). However, Jason Durulo's part is clearly talking about being with a girl who is still with someone else. It may seem hash, but I think the song would bs better without hos part. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

#2 top rated interpretation:In my opinion, the song is about two individuals who are in love with each other but are separated by public criticism.

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:It’s about being in love with someone that you are not allowed to be with in the public eye. Perhaps two celebrities who were/are in love with each other (not gender specific) but due to them being carefully watched by the public, they are not allowed to publicly show their love for each other. Explains their wants to be able to show affection for each other publicly but something is stopping them (management, contracts etc).

I think for me it’s about a girl who’s In love with a guy from distance which i am currently going through right where nobody knows about him and only me(nobody knows I’m in love with someone’s baby) but this guy is from the other part of the world so I agree with him casual dating someone else and he is okay with that too even though we will get jealous. When he is going on a date(when you’re with him do you call his name, like you do when you’re with me does it feel the same).. It hurts that we can’t be together for now because he is in the US while I'm in Asia.

It’s about a girl who’s In love with a guy who’s already taken(nobody knows I’m in love with someone’s baby) and a guy who’s in love with a girl who’s also taken(when you’re with him do you call his name, like you do when you’re with me does it feel the same).. but they can’t be together cos they probably want to keep their current relationships
-
I think this song is about a couple, a man and a a woman, who are so in love but are so scared to show it to the world, so they keep in secret, and can’t even hold hands ir show affection in public, I would know because I’m in this situation :(
-
I think it's about two people who love each other but can't go public because if people know about their relationship, they will get criticized. People will hate them. I think it's relatable for public figures who have many fanatic and toxic fans.

The rest of the secret love song song
when you hold me in the secret
And you kiss me on the floor
i wish that it could be like that? -
This song is definitely about someone having an affair.(When you're with him, do you call his name
Like you do when you're with me?) This is the doubting. knowing that every time she leaves she’s going home to another man (And nobody knows I'm in love with someone's baby) I got involved with someone from work who was married and it’s one of the hardest things I have ever done it started of as a bit of fun but eventually it’s starts to get frustrating and jealousy because a real issue -
I believe it’s about 2 boys who are in love but are unable to express it due to their love not fitting society’s standards. They are questioning why they can’t be free and why they can’t show their love to the public “on the streets” “on the dance floor”. Overall they are reflecting on how they aren’t able to act like a normal couple and have to hide it away.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I think we all know who anonymous is and the anonymous that wrote the song and I think we all know what the songs about who the song is about and why they wrote it and why they couldn't sing it and why they give to Little Mix who they're very close friends with to sing it thank you.
-
I think the song is about a couple of the same gender in the music industry who can’t come out because of their management and contracts... :(
-
I love how the person who wrote the article about half way through started saying LBGT instead of LGBT lol
-
i think this song is about a boy and a girl who are secretly in love and they are afraid to tell their friends and family incase they don't accept their soulmate. they cant live without them and may have to lose some friends or family members respect as they obviously have to choose love over friends and family and aren't ready to let go of them yet.
-
The girl is in love with a guy who is in a relationship. They both love each other, but they cannot be together.
-
In my opinion the song means to me, after being in an abusive relationship and not wanting to accept love. Meeting someone as fucked up as you who still understands and loves you but use both are scared of getting hurt so you try to deny and hide your love for each other.
-
I think the song could mean about a forbidden love however you want to think of it is. An incest love, loving someone else but you already have a partner that you're supposed to be with, a same gender love and of the sort. It's the kind of love that prevents you to do the things you want to do with the person you actually love but society around you doesn't want that and judges you. Therefore, your love is just a secret to keep yourselves and is part of you heart being locked up inside.
