Little Mix: Secret Love Song Meaning
Song Released: 2016
Featuring: Jason Derulo
Secret Love Song Lyrics
And you kiss me on the dance floor
I wish that it could be like that
Why can't it be like that? Cause I'm yours
We keep behind closed doors
Every time I see you, I die a little more
Stolen moments that we...
-
It's a song about a guy in love with a girl who is taken, but she doesn't want to leave the person she's with because she doesn't want to start any drama.
-
This song means so much. Because this is what is happening in my life now. We are both in relationships
-
Being in love with someoneelse while being in a relationship
-
A married man having an affair and him and his mistress are in love but they can't be free to express their love
-
I think it’s about being gay or bisexual and you love someone who is also gay or bisexual. but you can’t be with them for reasons. “why can’t I hold you in the street why can’t I kiss you on the dance floor I wish that it could be like that why can’t it be like that cause I’m yours”
-
That's basically cheating its like me dude these lyrics touch me so much
-
I feel like this song is all about me coz there's this guy who likes me even though l am already with someone else and this guy even broke up with his girl because of me.I it's not right but that's how he feel so I can not blame him.

This is Secret Love Song Pt I with Jason Derulo. Little Mix’s part is wanting to be with the guy that she cannot be with. Almost like Romeo and Juliet. And Jason’s part is about being with a girl that is having an affair. Secret Love Song Pt II is different from this version with Jason.
-
For the original song (with Jason derulo) it seems to be about a man and a woman, where the woman is already with someone else. However, the woman is also in love with the man singing, so it's kind of a cheating story. For the part II of the song, without Jason derulo, it's a completely different story. This one is about a relationship that's not socially acceptable. Personally, as a semi-closeted lesbian in a relationship with a girl who's parents do not and can not know she's dating me, the song is about the fear of other people finding out about our relationship. If we ever want to be open about our relationship, we have to do it when we're alone (which for us is pretty much never).
-
It's a very touching song for LBGT and for everyone,
For it being about LBGTs not being able to do the same things as straight people, like being with them in public and kissing in public. -
There are two parts to this song. The one with Jason Derulo, the song talks about a relationship between a guy and a girl. but the girl is already attached to another guy so this love song is their "secret". The pt 2 of the song without Jason Derulo had some of the lyrics changed. That one talks about the LGBT relationship. Since not all the society is accepting of such relationships, they have to keep their love a secret.
-
It's saying that LGBT people cant do the things that normal people or straight people can do like hug in public and kiss on the dance floor. Being bi myself I found a real connection with this song.
-
Two people that love each other but know that their relationship is toxic so they can't be together. The girl has moved on and is with someone else but still loves the other guy who she knows she can't be with.
-
Kind of like LGBTQ+ or interracial or basically relationships that aren't "socialy acceptable" and they want everyone to know even tho they know the consciences but they don't care as long as they are happy.but Jason's verse kinda indicates they could be cheating on someone but idk
