Miley Cyrus: Fly on the Wall Meaning
Song Released: 2008
Fly on the Wall Lyrics
A creppy little sneeky fly on the wall
all my precious secrets yeah you know them all
-
I’ve never had a record before. I’ve been any some single album with classic music, we’re looking forward to see Beth, I’m excited to see my girl, because Beth is my favorite girl, we loved her, very much. We always love our great friend Beth, we love her, and I really like her and Beth is doing great.

This song is about her boyfriend cheating on her or pissing her off, but still envious of her and wishing she had her back for wrong reasons.
"You'd love to know the things I do when I'm with my friends and not with you..."... He wants to know what she's doing every second of the day and be a "Fly on the Wall"...
But, it truly is a metaphor for the paparazzi and how the paparazzi are always wanting to know what Miley is up to and is always spying or stalking her, like a fly watching from the wall (or a nearby bush ;))
She was only 15 when she helped write this song, so it's cool that she was smart enough to use this as a way to talk about the paparazzi, while making it sound like she's talking about a boy! ;) -
this song is about a girl who did not have a fly swatter and got mad at her boyfriend because he didn't give her one for her birthday. it is a tragic song about love and flys

Whenever I listen to Fly On the Wall by Miley Cyrus, I see it as her singing about the paparazzi and how she sees them, and not about a boyfriend. The press and the paparazzi are very competitive in the world today, especially when it comes to celebrities and stalkers, and what they do in their everyday lives.
Anyway, Miley knows this all too well. She also knows that she has a "love/hate" relationship with the paparazzi as well. And I like how the guys working for the paparazzi did the "Thriller dance" in the video, and Miley's all puzzled. I think that was a good idea for her to pay tribute to Michael Jackson in the video for Fly On the Wall.
This is a fantastic song to listen to, and it's very inspiring as well.
