   The song is really more deep than the must of the persons think, is about how society doesn't accept anything different from the "normal" (normal is in "" because I think "normal" is what it's common, and it's hateful said to people that everything that's not common it's not normal and it's bad but whatever) she wants to be herself without people judging her, but I think she doesn't give a fck about what that part of "people" say, she wants to be with who she wants in the time she wants without being called slut and wear what she wants, "remember only god can judge us" she is encouraging persons being themselves without be afraid of the "perfect" society, "we run things, things don't run us" we made the "normal" what we want to be, we made our own rules

   Miley is a strong independent woman and you shouldn't judge her because she is her own person. You shouldn't judge her because she is perfect and her life choices are really respectable, especially her drug abuse and her break down of her engagement, which is completely ridiculous because Liam Hemsworth is perfect. It is all Nick Jonas's fault. I really despise Nick Jonas because he ruined Miley's life and for that I will never forgive him. Ever. What an appalling excuse for a human being.    I think she is referencing her drug abuse. She also says she doesn't care, which is apparent. She's making the point that she also doesn't want to act like a sophisticated human being or a persons who wants to do anything with their life. I find this sad considering the fact that she used to be fairly talented.
