Motley Crue: Nona Meaning
Nona Lyrics
I'm outta my head without you
Nona
I'm outta my head without you
-
Nona is a nickname for grandma in italian. Since Nikki has italian ancestry I think it's probably an homage to his granny.
-
I also read somewhere that Nikki Sixx wrote it in dedication to his grandmother after her passing. all things considered, it's pretty believable!
-
The Greek Meaning of NONA is GODMOTHER since Tommy was born in Athens thought he might of had a hand in naming this song ???
-
Rumor has it that Nikki Sixx wrote the song in honor of his passing grandmother Nona. Strung out on drugs he decided not to attend the funeral. Nona had been his primary care giver so in her honor he wrote the song. I wouldn't show up strung out with my family either. Not with an elephant in the room that size. The song is my personal favorite. It reminds me of times when I was all junked out and wanted to hide.
