Muse: Glorious Meaning
Glorious Lyrics
And satellites that compromise the truth
I wanted more
With the cuts and the bruises
Touch my face
A hopeless embrace
Faith, it drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a strangers love
It rockets...

I think this wonderful song is about a combination of multiple motifs including matts conspiracy theory belief regarding military counter intelligence sattelites whos sole purpose is to beam high power electromagnetic radiation on mass populations as to limit their caliber for personal glory. This is evidenced by the lyrics and sattelites that compromise the truth" hes trying to turn his audience onto his belief in radical conspiracies "but i wanted more with the cuts and the bruises touch my face a hopeless embrace" "fills the lies it feeds the curse"- universal enigmatic description of a limiter for the human psyche. Describes his journey to stardom and fame and delares "you to could be glorious" awesome riff kicks up again some synth and the seemingly random but sequenced guitar arrepegiated figures and penta scale tracks that fade out. Sometimes songs are simplistic without any deep meaning. But this one, my favorite reflects the bands message goal and penultimately, matt's belief in conspiracy theories mixed with immense passion and incredible talent for music!
