before i googled it, i heard it as:
saints protect her now
come angels of the lord
come angels of the numb
i guess that isn't right though lol.
i think its a prayer, or about his grandma's death- both, really. considering the album was inspired by the death of his grandma, it's a most likely thing.
it's probably one of my favourites though, it's so beautiful to me and makes me cry usually since it reminds me of the death of someone close to me lol. very beautiful track. -
I think its about Gerard's grandma. She's does and he's kind of just made a song asking the saints to protect her and for the angels to guide her to the afterlife/heaven/wherever. I see it as sort of like a prayer of deliverance .

in·ter·lude [íntər ld]
(plural in·ter·ludes)
noun
1. intervening period of time: a relatively short period of time between two longer periods, during which something happens that is different from what has happened before and what follows
An interlude in this album, when reading this meaning, it makes perfect sense. Beautiful words from a beautiful band -
Saints protect her now
Come Angels of the lord
Come Angels of the unknown
-
The album "Three Cheers for sweet revenge" is about the death of two people in love.
The man says "saints protect her now" showing that she is going to heaven.
"Come angels of the lord" he is telling the angels to come and take her to heaven.
"come angels of the unknown", this could mean one of three things.
1.) 'Angels of the unknown' The angels of somewhere not known are going to take him with them to somewhere that is not in heaven and not in hell.
2.) 'Angels of the unknown' The angels from Hell are going to take him to the devil, he just does not know where Hell actually is.
3.) 'Angels of the unknown' He could be refering to the "angels of the lord", questioning whether or not there really is a God. -
Well, I hear the text as;
saints, protect her now
come angels of the lord
come angels of unknown.
This means that he either sees the unknown as his lord, or that he is kind of both cursing and protecting her.
a beautiful track, really -
To me, this is their worst song... maybe its because I'm used to the songs like 'thank you for the venom' 'famous last words' 'kill all your friends' 'heaven help us' and all of their other songs except for this one...
-
This is obviously a prayer.
-
The lyrics are: "since we talked to her now, come angels of the lord, come angels of the lord", idiots. not "angels of the unknown".
-
It's really hard to tell with this song. The lyrics are so complicated because it sounds like so many different things. Like one of them says:
Saints protect her now,
Come Angels of the Lord,
Come Angels of Unkown -
As almost every other viewer said, the album is based on the 1000 evil men, blah blah blah blah-you know the story. Anyways, I think it means that since I brought the souls of 1000 evil men, let her go. Let her free. Let her be with me.
Thanks. -
I believe that this song marks his change into insanity. The slow pace indicates that he is world-weary in a way. His calling to the 'angels' is because he sees them as good beings that will make him better. He doesn't yet realize the implications.

This song is talking about "angels of the unknown." AKA satan's angels that are going to stop the man to claim the lives of the 1000 men (for more info look at the song I never told you what I do for a living!)
