My Chemical Romance: Mama Meaning
Mama Lyrics
Mama, we all go to hell
I'm writing this letter and wishing you well
Mama, we all go to hell
Oh well now
Mama, we're all gonna die
Mama, we're all gonna die
Stop asking me questions
I'd hate to see you cry
Mama,...
-
This an interpretation in that 'mama' is war and that he could of served his country better
-
I think it's about war. Because of the bombs at the beginning of the song and the lyric "Well Mama, what's war done to my legs and to my tongue" and "But the shit that I've done with this fuck of a gun!"
-
Actually, codyXdeadX is off. The fourth entry is the one on the ball. "Mama" is about mother war and her five sons.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I think it's about war, but not an actual war where there are guns, bombs ect.. I think is about a war between life and death. The war that "the patient" ,in this story, had to fight. Does it make any sense?
But It could also be about a war. -
I think this song is about some lady's son going off to war, against his mothers wishes. But seeing as the album is about the patient dying of cancer, I think it's about him and his relationship with his mother, maybe Gerard is speaking about his life throughout the patient. But this song I think is about the patient remembering going off to the war, and how he knew his mother always wanted a baby girl instead of a boy who would get into trouble and leave her for the war. The mother was afraid of her son dying, and then the son told her how it is. It's like. well yeah I might die, but hey "Mama we all go to hell." "Mama we're all gonna die."
-
A soldier writing a letter to his mother telling her how bad it is and that he's not sorry for anything he did to her
-
you guys are soo off.
it is about the patitent who was in the military, and he got discharged because he has cancer, and when he's dead,he remember the times at war and the letters he wrote to his "mama"[mother war].who, ironicly is anti-war.when gerard says, when we go don't blame us,he's asking his mom not to be mad at him.he also feels sorry for all the bad that he's done.thats what I think...... -
I think Mama is about Mother war, for example the war in iraq, and all that kinda stuff.
for example sons going to war:
"you should have raised a baby girl" etc etc -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
It is about the "great war' and "mother war".I think it means that her sons go to this war and are killed, and there relationship wasn't that great but at the end of the song you hear a cry.Her sons must have sined because it says "the shit that I've done with this fuck of a gun you'd cry out your eyes all along"
-
The guy named anonymous with the five stars is 100% right! This song is my favorite song besides Teenagers.
-
i think this is about the Patient telling his mom that he's going to hell for the sins that he has done, and that whoever else sinned will go to hell as well.
-
I think it is basically telling his mom that his life has not been on the right track which implies "mama we all go to hell".i agree with the first persone saying that it is an apology.

yeah, I think this song is about going to war, and the battle field is "hell". and they're all going to die and such. at the start of the song you kinda hear bombs and stuff. So, yeah.
