My Chemical Romance: Party Poison Meaning
Party Poison Lyrics
Everybody pay attention to me
I got the answer
I got the answer
Street walking cheetah with a capital "G"
So get your hands up
Now get your hands up
Hide your eyes, we're gonna shine tonight
Sub-atomic never get the best of...

I think this is kind of the “Welcome To The Black Parade” for Danger Days.
Hear me out.
Throughout the song he hints at gangs/groups and speaks as if something is being planned.
The concept record is about rising up to the government, but specifically this track sounds like it’s engaging and bringing in followers.
The lyrics, especially in the first verse, are quick directional and instructive, as if a leader were speaking. -
I've always thought of song as possibly meaning two things:
One, it's a flashback to when they all met, and Party was a cocky SOB ("Everybody pay attention to me, I have the answer!"), or Party is lashing out over the fact that he's just lost two of his friends, and is looking for anyone who will help him break up the BL/ind party. -
To me its like he (Gerard) is saying the party is over, as he is done with his youth. As a long time fan, it feels like he is saying it is over, the same way with sing. It's like he is tryouts.g to make sure we will be okay when he quits to be with his wife and daughter, Bandit. But what do I know...

This song is an anti-party song. This can be shown in the lyrics this ain't a party get off the dancefloor! And yes, I do know about the theme of the album and that party poison is the main killjoy and it can also be assumed that BLind is having a metaphorical party by making everyone supposedly happier and Party Poison is going to attack.

this track comes on right after the traffic report skit so i am guessing this is party poisons revenge to the people that killed his friends.

i was a little confused as to what the deeper meaning of this song is. but taking it at face value its about livinv life to the full and rocking out
