My Chemical Romance: Romance Meaning
Romance Lyrics
-
I like the first opinion..it sorta leads into the next song.
For me, the image is completely different and entirely wrong for the album. I know "Romance" was on "Bullets" therefor, was before the whole war concept that came later, but when I hear "Romance," I think of a woman sitting by a radio knitting or something. During the second part of the song she hears distressing news that her husband's name was amoung the names of those who died at war that day. Ad she bursts out in tears and the song ends.
But in order to stay true to the album, there is also this:
A man nearly passes out all over the floor of his apartment from drinking too much when he finds a note that his girlfriend left him saying she was leaving him. She changes her mind and comes back, only to remember that she left because he drank too much when she saw him sprawled on the floor. She puts him into his bed and leaves again without another thought about it. -
I think now this is just my opinion the song is about two lovers and one is getting tired of the other because they were hurting them emotionally. One of the lovers was an addict and at the end they overdosed to get rid of the pain the other person caused them.
That is just my opinion and Its probably all wrong but still
