My Chemical Romance: This Is The Best Day Ever Meaning
This Is The Best Day Ever Lyrics
At every hour goes the tick-tock bang of monitors as
They stared us down when we met in the emergency room
And in our beds, I could hear you breathe with help from cold...
-
I think the hospital is a metaphor for the boy and girl's home. They ran away together to away from their harsh environment and lived being supported by each other. Then the girl changed, or was never who he thought she was, and it tore his heart open. He's trying to remember the past they shared for the good times rather than the bad.

This is just me, I'm not sure if this is right, but I'll give it a go.
This is (in my mind) a story about a man who got in a serious accident, and meets a girl in the emergency room, who was also in an accident.
It turns out that they later share a hospital room.
So one day, the man notices that every hour (on the hour) the doctors are drawing blood from the girl, for testing or somewhat. The were doing the same to him, but wouldn't tell them why.
The girl who was ingured so bad, needed machienes to help her breath, but she went crazy after her accident. So in the middle of the night (I assume) when the man thinks he can't take another day in that place, the girl speaks up and says stuff like "I like you, we can find a way to get out of here. We don't NEED to stay."
So they plan the day that they'll run away together. I think they were unsuccsessful, maybe the girl died, I don't know. But that's what I thinkmof the song. -
In my interpretation of this song i think it is about a guy who ends up in the hostpitol and meats a girl who has been in a serious accident like him, only to realize she is really a demon claiming him for hell and he realizes she isnt what he thought she was, but he can see in her eyes that she is trapped claiming souls for hell so he is telling her we both can escape run away together and live happily for all eternity.
-
I think it's about the day that you die, and you get to the place of judgement, and you hear someone tell you what you did. The title, well i think its meant as sarcasm. Eh, so the main character realizes that heaven and hell are real, and he's destined for hell, so he tries to leave. Thats what i think...
