   I see Roman Holiday as a cry out to the church from the gay community.
   
   Roman Holiday started at the Grammy's with "The Exorcism of Roman". Martha Zolanski (one of Nicki Minaj's many alter egos; Roman's mother) enlisted the help of a priest to exorcise Roman Zolanski (Nicki Minaj alter ego; her gay brother). They try to stop him from being gay. You can't stop someone from being gay by an exorcism, so it fails. Roman is mad. This is when the song starts.
   
   The song starts off with Martha telling Roman to "take his medication" and to "take a vacation". Martha's obviously trying to change him.
   
   Throughout the rest of the song, Roman takes his anger out on his mother and ends up killing her. He ends with "Mother, forgive me?" and there's no answer. Now, Roman must suffer the rest of his life with no mother all because she tried to change him. :)

   This song has a very dark meaning. Analyse it and you will see.
   "Take your medication Roman"
   Medication is associated with people who are crazy. Roman is Nicki Minaj's alternative ego. In that statement she is repeating what people are saying to her, that she needs to take her medication because she is crazy. Later in the song she says "I'm a lunatic"
   "Take a short vacation Roman

   Some alterations on your clothes and brain"
   To the person who thinks this song is about being gay, it obviously has a different meaning. Nicki is telling herself to take a short vacation, she'll be okay, she's going somewhere where people will do alterations on her clothes and brain. This is where the song starts to get dark. Brain alterations = mind control.
   That's my interpretation of the chorus.

   Weird how Roman Zolanski sounds like Roman Polanski, convicted child rapist. This plus Nicki's associations with six9ine and her weird ass brother makes this song very dark.
   
   And her alter-ego is confessing to a priest with the music video having heavy catholic images.

   Well, Someone has pissed Roman off. It's better to think before you act, so that's what she means by "take a little break". At the end of Romans Revenge, she says " they'll lock you away, they'll put you in a jail cell"! So that's what is happening in this song- Roman's being locked away.
   
   Now rewind to December where she released 'Roman In Moscow'. In that song, Roman escapes! She say's "Humm Humm, Done the prayer: The prayer happens in Roman Holiday" "Hummmm Witch! Hummmm Twitch, Humm Witch".

   well, My opinion is Martha is trying to calm roman down too stop being so violent! BUT Roman will never change who he is and is saying to himself too accept me as I'M am.
   
   I have alter egos too! THEY are amazing and fun too talk to! Im glad they finally open up to one of my favorite teacher MRS.STAMP! SO that they can trust and relate to and talk to...

   WELL THIS IS WHAT I THINK: i think in the chorus she's talking to herself, well.. roman. roman, the manically aggressive one, the defensive, 'always ready to fight' one. roman, a part which is just as necessary to her personality as the rest of her. telling roman he can take a break, kinda like "it's cool, you need some chill out time once in a while, i don't need you to protect me all the time & you need to stop exploding out when i don't need you to" and uh.. i guess the verses are roman being his usual self lol.

    I think it's about Roman's parents trying to change him "Some alterations on your clothes and your brain" but Roman refuses because he can't be changed. Roman wants people to accept him for who he is. And it's about coming out of the closet..

    I think it means that her alter ego roman is tired of being hidden and it's time for him to come out hence the exorcism people are always talking about how she is evil or her clothes are this her hair is that and so I think the song is roman finally coming out and not caring about what anyone says .

    I personally think that is about the difference between Nicki and her alter ego Roman Zolanski, who in this song is being exorcised. Roman holiday also refers to public harm of any sort and the enjoyment of that specific form of harm. She is singing that Roman needs this, a "roman holiday" and the excorcism that was taking place in her Grammy performance.
