Nicki Minaj: Starships Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Starships Lyrics
Let's go get away
They say, what are they gonna say?
Have a drink, click, found the Bud Light
Bad Bitches like me, is hard to come by
The Partron, on, let's go get it on
The zone, on, yes I'm in the zone
Is it...

#1 top rated interpretation:Getting higher than a motherf***er. That's it.

#2 top rated interpretation:You are extremely gullible if you believe this song has any other meaning besides being at a party and getting high.
Just read the lyrics, she is outright saying that she is at a club and she is going to blow her money away (reason why she wont be able to pay her rent).
She is starting with drinks and moves on to drugs. Doing it one more time is for taking another pill, to me it is ecstasy but it could be something else. There is alot of "rave" feel to her party and that is probably choice numero uno at raves.(or at least used to be)
The only connection between this song and starships is the fact they are "high" in the sky, unless starship became a name for an old or new drug that i am not aware of :P
I wouldnt say most artists hide the meaning of their songs because they are so god damn obvious now, but they just put a thin cover over it so it can be played on radio stations during the day and not banned.
Another prime example of the garbage that is played on radio stations now adays... at least it is catchy :P

#3 top rated interpretation:I personally think starships are probably E-pills (MDMA, etc). And by "meant to fly", she is refering to taking them and getting high. I think the chorus ultimately refers to partying (at a club) and the "lets do this one more time" probably means popping another pill, which then segways into the "we're higher than a motherlover" and techno-ish breakdown. I would put money on this being the meaning
-
I think starships means people, 'mean to fly' is partying and 'hands up and touch the sky' refers to getting drunk and then she moving on to drugs.
-
to have fun in your life live your life and to get drunk to stay up all night and party have s*x thats the real definition of starships

I would find the music genres that can related to acting and music at the same time. But we’re lucky to have our friends helped out and record the song and I’m sending the music genres to my cousin Philip, and he’s good with music. And that worked out great if he does school and write my music that would be helpful. And it helped a lot of times when we have work and touched up in the studio and that helps me to do vocal arrangements but my cousin is a drummer but one of his friends called me, and said, hey Beth, we need a twenty one year old girl who can sing and dance. I said yes, but my mom and dad aren’t coming to our tour, my aunt and uncle are going to watch us on the tour.

The meaning of the song ‘Starships’ is evidently about the usage of party drugs and “getting high”. However, the lyric “jump through my hoopty hoopty hoop” could possibly symbolise a need for anal sex from a sexual partner. Nicki was very bold making a statement so obvious, and quite frankly it’s a shock that she was given the air space for this to even see the light of day.

We have open song to record the video of me singing on YouTube and my band Jonas brothers are here to help me write this song but it’s very difficult to write, but I’m very personality. This song represents my family and hang out as we always do, but we like to have a band and write songs and have fun? We had a lot of fun hanging out at the studio it’s really fun.
-
We’re going to have the friends to help with someone but it’s really funny I went to the studio and my friend nick helped me with my bathing suit. But it’s fun and I also went swimming at the pool but the kids wouldn’t mind.
-
I hope the album would arrive soon. But I have British friends to help me with my tracks. And everything has to change my difference.

I feel that these songs are made because obviously they reflect what's going on in society. Illuminati or no Illuminati God looks down on those who judge and assume, and self righteous people are my favorite. The song to me is about the sub conscious mind of a girl wanting to go party or to the beach or maybe fly in a starship because at this point that's the only other thing that sounds more amazing or like a good time, also starship could be a private plane where I would assume some do recordings while flying and if it was you and your crew meaning band then a starship may mean private jet. Anyway lets not bring god and the illuminati into a playful song and if your so bothered by the music that is on the radio maybe you should try to put your time into bettering your community or helping others instead of spending your time talking about how bad it is get up off your ass and contribute to the solution instead of adding to the problem.

Basically going to a club or bar and getting high.

As far as I can see, none of you have looked farther then "just for partying, dancing, getting high and havings sex" as the reason why one may end up at a club with a eurodance styled rave going on.
Did any of you consider that something very bad must've happened for the person to go to a club to blow all their money for alcohol and drugs, something so bad, that at this point they really don't care with whom they're having intercourse with, as long as that constant high (may that be artifical or natural) helps them to forget that tragic event?
Only because something comes across as happy-go-lucky, and funny even, doesn't mean it actually is. -
It has a lot of bad thing in it.e.g- references to sex, drugs and partying. However, I like the altered versions, like Mike Tompkins one with the pitch perfect cast and a bunch of home videos, as it sounds good and has most of the bad stuff taken out
-
I think this song is all about partying and having a lot of fun. As u read the lyrics you see that she is at the beach, having some drinks and about to move on to drugs,,
this is what this song STARSHIPS is all about -
If you don't want to read about my religious views, don't read further. At first I thought it was about following your dreams. How naive of me. While I don't think it's purposely Illuminati, I believe it's an immoral song and that the behavior and lifestyle it advocates is wrong, and no, God doesn't like this. I'm disgusted that this is popular, and even more so that it's played so frequently on the radio.
Bottom line, it's about sex, drinking, and probably drugs, at a nasty party.
Sidenote: just because someone is an immoral partier who has it good with the media, doesn't mean they're illuminati. -
I disagree that this song is just about getting high. It's obviously also about copious amounts of anonymous sex.
-
Follow you dreams, don't be shy, and hang out at clubs a lot.
P.S.
BTW I don't get it when people say "illuminati" I know what it is but WTHeck does this song have to do with the illuminati? My conclusion is that people make random assumptions and like being silly........
me 2 :D
